Baby Dedication
The baby dedication service is the parent’ opportunity to promise to train and guide their child so as to lead him to a personal, saving knowledge of Christ. Jesus’ words in Mark 10:14,
Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these…
clearly indicated that children are to be given opportunity to be exposed to Jesus Christ and the truth of the Gospel; baby dedication presents that first step.
Baby dedication services are held at Christ Community Chapel two times a year. A meeting for parents is held on a Sunday morning two weeks before the dedication. A detailed explanation of baby dedication is presented, and parents are free to ask any questions they may have.
The baby dedication serve is designed for children two and under, and you are not required to be a member of our church to participate.
Upcoming Dates
October 26 & 27, 2013
The next Baby Dedication service at our Hudson campus is scheduled for the weekend of Sunday, October 26 and 27. There will be a mandatory parents meeting on Sunday, October 6 in Room 20 at 9 a.m.
Please Note
Baby dedication is not the same as Baptism; Christ Community Chapel does not baptize babies since they are not able to make decisions about repentance and salvation. The Bible makes it clear that a person should repent and believe before being baptized.
