Financial Ministry Director

The selected candidate will provide a framework of resources to equip and educate the church body in being faithful stewards of God’s gifts. Key requirements will be to maintain consistent financial coaching to those in financial distress along with Christ-centered financial studies and workshops that provide “preventive care” in understanding God’s Word on finances. This is a full-time position and reports to our Center of Care Director.

Job Responsibilities
  • Recruit and work with a core team of volunteers to set vision, goals, and events including quarterly meetings to be organized for accountability and to set schedule of events.
  • Recruit, train, and maintain a team of volunteers for financial coaching. Assist coaching cases after an initial interview with coaching clients. Maintain records of coaching cases to monitor results. Quarterly coaches meeting to be organized for ongoing training, feedback, and accountability.
  • Organize biblical financial studies and workshops to be consistently offered throughout the year to educate people on biblical financial principles. This would include the recruitment of facilitators to help lead these events.
  • Work with marriage mentors and premarital team to provide support.
  • Work with Student Ministry to help provide educational resources for all age groups regarding finances, with special emphasis on the growing problem of college debt.
  • Recruit a “Legacy Team” to help educate the congregation on estate and retirement planning using biblical principles.
  • Share Financial Ministry resources, programs, and ministry ideas with other churches and faith-based organizations.
  • Oversee the Career Transition and Business Advisory teams.
  • Become proficient in Notebird (Care Ministry database) and Planning Center (church database).
  • Attend bi-weekly Care Team and one-on-one meetings with the Care Director.
  • Attend monthly staff theology classes and all staff lunches and meetings.
Qualifications
  • Be in a dynamic and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Experience in biblically-based financial coaching or teaching within a church or ministry is preferred
  • Living a life of integrity and submission which flows from personal gospel transformation
  • Ability to collaborate and connect relationally with people
  • Demonstrate the ability to adapt and learn
  • Possess good organizational and self-direction skills
  • Commit to becoming a member of Christ Community Chapel
