Baby Dedication
As followers of Jesus, parenting our children is nothing short of a calling from God. Baby Dedication is a time to declare to the congregation and God that you are committed to following him as you raise your children. At CCC, we want to come alongside you to both support and encourage you as you fulfill this calling.
What is baby dedication?
Baby dedication is an opportunity for two things. First, for parents to celebrate God’s kindness in giving them their child or children to raise. Second, for parents to affirm their primary responsibility to raise their children to know Jesus above all else.
Who gets dedicated?
Your child can be dedicated if you match the following criteria:
- Parent(s) are Christian.
- Parent(s) are active members of CCC.
- Your child is two years old or younger.
Why is baby dedication important?
Baby dedication is a beautiful assertion of God’s promises. Because of Jesus, God promises forgiveness and salvation for everyone who trusts in him, including children. Baby dedication is also an important anchor for the parents’ priorities, elevating the need for their child to understand God’s promises more than anything else. Finally, it is a vital reminder of the parents’ community, as baby dedications affirm the partnership between the parents and the local church in raising their children to know Jesus.
How can I dedicate my child?
